I didn't SEE it!

Some may call it nosy, but the reality is I am observant as hell...with most things. For example, I can always tell when a co-worker got a haircut or just a trim, nothing drastic. I can also tell when a coworker's essence is a bit off and because writing is my thing I like to send them an uplifting note.

But to be completely honest, I have a hard time determining when my actions, or lack of actions, may have crossed the line with a friend. I need to use my observant eye to better determine when its the right time to take a step back or keep pushing forward.

Knowing yourself and being honest about all that you are, positive and negative, allows you to be authentic when you deal with your clients and customers. Authenticity is what keeps them coming back, and isn't that the ultimate goal for any business...repeat customers!

We all see others being a success in their businesses so it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking all you have to do is be a carbon copy of them and there's no way you won't be successful. But we all have to remember that in business "what's good for the goose is NOT good for the gander!" Being true to yourself by embracing your talents, skills, and intellect, not to mention putting in quality hard work over time, will be good for your business in the end.
