Chase your Dream!
During this joyous Christmas 2016 season, I was blessed with the opportunity to screen the new film Hidden Figures; an upcoming biographical story based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Margot Lee Shetterly. The movie, set in 1961 Virginia, stars Taraji P. Henson as Katherine Johnson, the black woman physicist, space scientist, and mathematician who calculated flight trajectories for Project Mercury and the 1969 Apollo 11 flight to the Moon. The movie has a powerful supporting cast including Octavia Spencer, Janelle Monáe, Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst and Jim Parsons.
It was very refreshing to see a film that didn't have the same plot line of half of the other films on the market. I was inspired, as a black woman, to see a film about several black women embracing their talents and skills and making their dreams become reality.
That is what I try to inspire everyday. No matter if I am posting on social media, writing a blog post, or talking to a potential client my goal is to inspire you to be the best you can be in your business, organization, or career.
Life is NOT fair...it never will be, but that is the number one reason to #WorkHard to achieve! I know that I want to achieve and I do that by HELPING you with my articulate voice, problem solving mind, and creative outlook. I may not be a physicist, space scientist, or mathematician, but I am an excellent writer, communicator, organizer, and planner that can make just as powerful impact on the environment around me as Katherine Johnson did on hers...and so can you!
Chase your dreams, be great, and positively impact society...in the way that only you can!
